A furniture maker Antonio Berdondini opened a workshop in Fence in 1926. The furniture in “duecento” ( “the twentieth century”) style and mosaic works were rewarded and were exhibited in Bologna. Nowadays the Italian company republish the masterpieces of this genius master in very limited quantities (not more than 99 pieces). All these articles were produced within 1930-1950. For its production different sorts of wood is applied (Italian wall-nut, maple, zebrine), natural leather (including skate and eel), fur, silk, silver, bronze, onyx and other materials. The wood is polished by hand, but in some cases it is covered by wax.
