 The history of the Italian company origins from a workshop founded in 1925 by Silvio Fortuna. In fact Silvio was the successor of his grandfather’s works. The business started in 1816, but couldn’t survive during the World War I. Four decades passed before the joiner’s shop became a factory. The name of Arclinea Cucine Componibili appeared in 1960. The company is involved in “designed” kitchens. The main materials are: stainless steel, aluminum, varnished and painted wood (oak, teak), glass, marble. The author of all the models is Antonio Citterio. In 2004 the company was granted with Metropolitan Home Modernism Award for the kitchen Convivium. Several times was rewarded for the best design Best of Boston, granted by Boston Magazine.
